Chatting with Dean Koontz

About the show

Ian was joined by best-selling author Dean Koontz, who discussed his childhood, the themes and characters in his writings, as well as his most recent book about the mystery of the human-dog bond, The Darkest Evening of the Year.

Koontz also talked about some of his father's strange inventions, as well as shared a humorous story about his beloved golden retriever, Trixie.

In the first hour, Dr. Ann Blake Tracy talked about SSRIs (pharmaceutical antidepressants), the mall shooting in Omaha that left nine dead, and how antidepressants may have adversely affected the 19-year-old shooter, Robert A. Hawkins.
