Biography:

Patch Adams, renowned medical doctor, clown, social activist and subject of the blockbuster film Patch Adams, is founder and director of the Gesundheit Institute, a holistic medical community that has provided free medical care to thousands of patients since it began in 1971. Patch Adams is also the author of Gesundheit, which chronicles his ideas about the U.S. health care system.
