Alternative Health / UFO 'Battle of Los Angeles'

About the show

In the first half, Dr. Joel Wallach addressed alternative health approaches, and the benefits of remedies and supplements that aid in the body's recovery from many diseases and ailments. He started with a commentary on the new coronavirus, a potential pandemic, though he noted the regular flu has a higher fatality rate. The CDC will be developing a vaccine for coronavirus, he added, should the infection become a threat that shows up every wintertime. The protection masks people wear are only partially effective, he pointed out, depending on how big the pores are on them. With up-close contact, viruses could be spread by inadvertent airborne saliva.

Regarding HLH hemoglobin lymphatic disease, Wallach related the issue to gluten intake, which he said causes intestinal problems, and an inability to absorb needed nutrients. Speaking about Alzheimer's, he believes the condition is due to a deficiency of good cholesterol. A listener asked about Bell's palsy, in which there is a drooping or paralysis on one side of the face. The condition is connected with osteoporosis, he suggested, and supplements such as MSM and Vitamin D3 help build bone matrix in the skull.

Author, lecturer, and TV personality, Mike Bara began his writing career after spending more than 25 years as an engineering designer/consultant for major aerospace companies. In the latter half, he discussed the Battle of Los Angeles on February 25, 1942, where 1400 anti-aircraft rounds were fired at what seemed to be extraterrestrial craft (archival images). Coming on the heels of Pearl Harbor, it was suspected that the mysterious craft signaled an air attack by Japan. There were multiple incidents over the city that night with people sighting clusters of small objects, he recounted. At the same time, a large domed craft, illuminated by searchlight beams, traveled along the coast. The craft seemed impenetrable, as when the military shells hit it, they bounced off with a pinging sound.

There were five accidental deaths attributed to the anti-aircraft shelling, he reported. With its multiple sightings, Bara compared the incident to the Phoenix Lights of 1997. The actor DeForest Kelley (who would go on to play Dr. McCoy on Star Trek) said he saw the object in Long Beach at an extremely high altitude. A caller named Bob phoned in, recalling the LA incident from 78 years ago, when as a five-year-old, he was awakened by his mother after an 'Air Raid Warden' knocked at their door in the middle of the night. They gathered on their Glendale lawn and saw Klieg lights and explosions in the sky. Bara also talked about such topics as Men in Black, the secret space program, the alien presence, and anomalies on Mars.
